I was inspired to make this cowl after looking at all the lovely lace patterns in the book “Knitting Lace” by Susanna Lewis. I paired a lovely vine lace with a simple cable to produce a stunning cowl that is simpler than it looks. Cowls make great last minute gifts. The Cable and Vine Cowl has three sizes: Small, Medium, and Large. There are also directions for turning the large cowl into a wimple.

Gauge: is not critical for this project

Finished measurements:
Small (20 inch circumference), Medium (25 inch circumference), Large (30 inch circumference). Finished length for a cowl is 8 inches or desired length and a wimple is 15 inches or desired length. Note - Wimple should only be made using the large size. This will provide the necessary room need to fit over the head.

Please note: I no longer have time to design and new tax laws make that even harder. My patterns are now free. Please enjoy.
