PDF knitting pattern for a pair of fingerless gloves in reverse stocking stitch with panels of alternating stocking stitch and moss stitch horseshoe-shaped cables. Intarsia violets are knitted inside the stocking stitch cables - but these could be added afterwards using duplicate stitch or left out altogether if one-colour cabled mitts are preferred.

The mitts in the photograph took about 40gm Rowan Cashsoft 4ply in teal green, but any 4ply wool, cashmere or cotton could be used instead.

If adding the violets to the mitts, you will need just small amounts of your preferred colours for the flowers. The violets in the photographs are in light mauve, pinky mauve, bluey mauve and cream 4ply wool with black and yellow for the centres.

There are two cables on the front of each mitt and one cable on the palm.

The approximate un-stretched measurements are 3.25”/8cm wide (not counting the thumb) and 4.75”/12cm long from top of cuff rib to cast-off edge. The rib is approximately 1.5”/4cm long.

The pattern consists of written instructions for knitting the mitts and charts with symbols for working the cable and violets.
