When picking up sts along the lower edge of the cable band, pick up and knit one stitch from each row-end including the cast off edges. When picking up along the upper edge of the cable band, miss every alternate row-end, except for a couple of extra stitches at each end.

When picking up sts for the front bands, skip sts as necessary when picking up across the sts of the cable band and pick up approximately 2 sts from every 3 row-ends.

When casting on sts at the underarms or for the picot edging, use two needles, drawing a new loop through the previous stitch and placing it on the left needle each time.
