I adore butterflies. On the rare occasion that my two children and I are graced by the presence of a butterfly, it’s as though time stands still for a few short moments.
I designed this pattern with these thoughts in mind also knowing that visits from these beautiful creatures are even less frequent during
the winter months. I fashioned each glove with a single cable knit butterfly. Then I designed the cuff in a 2x2 rib with a couple of twisted stitches to lend additional interest. Finally, I added a little more length to the cuff for those especially frosty mornings when extra coverage is a must. The rest of the glove is my basic fingered glove pattern worked in the round on double pointed needles, including each finger and thumb.
Stitched with conductive thread in the thumb and first two fingertips, these gloves may be worn and used to operate iPhones, iPads, Androids, and smart phones. So, there is no need to remove any portion of your cozy warm glove exposing your hands to the cold weather.
Conductive thread is readily available via the internet.
