Knit with 6 mm (US 10) knitting needles and bulky/chunky/12-ply yarn, the dog sweater is a great pattern for any intermediate knitters.

The main body of the dog sweater is knit flat, then joined in the round to complete the neck.

Yarn

Any Bulky/Chunky/12 Ply yarn that can be matched with 6mm (US 10)
needles.
I used Alize Lanagold Classic 100g/240m/262yds (Grey 651) for the dog sweater.
You need around…
Small - 100g (240m/262yds).
Medium - 150g (360m/393yds).
Large - 200g (480m/524yds).

Needles

6mm (US 10) circular knitting needles - use a 24” or 32” cable.

• SKILLS

Level – Intermediate

This is an intermediate-level knitting pattern, and the techniques involved are the knit stitch, purl stitch, cables, decreases, and increases, plus working in the round.

• SIZING

The sizes given in the pattern are small, medium, and large.
The numbers in the pattern are given in this format – S (M/L)
Length excluding collar – Small – 14” / Medium – 16” / Large – 18”
Belly at the widest part – Small – 8” / Medium – 10” / Large – 12”
You may want to make the sweater shorter/longer or wider depending on your dog’s back length/width of the chest.
