  • Size 20 in / 50 cm in circumference and 8 in / 20 cm tall.

  • Gauge 14 sts and 24 rnds = 4 in / 10 cm in stocking stitch, used here as a guide.

  • Skill level Knit, purl, working in the round, simple increases and decreases, beginner cables.

  • Yarn Bessie May Nettle (70% organic wool, 30% stinging nettle fibre; 89 yds / 80 m / 50 g) #6250 Heather, 2 balls.

  • Needles and Notions 5 mm (US8) set of double-pointed needles. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge. 2 stitch markers, cable needle, and tapestry needle.
