I created this pattern at the request of a new mom who wanted a sweater vest for her baby’s christening. I absolutely love how it turned out!

The pattern design uses post stitches extensively - front- & back-post double and treble crochet stitches to make the cables, and front- & back-post half-double crochet for the ribbing trim around the armholes & neck opening. The vest is made in 2 pieces – front and back – and the ribbing trim is added after the 2 pieces are sewn together. This pattern is recommended for the intermediate crocheter.

I used Hobby Lobby’s “I Love this Yarn” sport weight, took most of a 2 oz skein. E hook used.
