Make these sweet little leggings in traditional aran pattern with contemporary style. I desperately wanted a pair of these and couldn’t find them anywhere so I decided to write the pattern (I’m Irish and have a particular love of traditional aran knitting).
Would make a beautiful gift for a baby shower - or a lovely birthday or holiday gift - who needs an excuse to knit something lovely for a beautiful baby!

The Pattern is written for 3 sizes (to fit over diaper or nappy):
0-3 months (hips over diaper 15” (37cms) Total Length 12 1/2” (31.5cm)
3-6 months 17” (43cms) 13 1/4” (33.5cm)
6-9 months 19”(48cms) 14” (35.5cm)

The cable pattern is lovely and stretchy and the pattern is designed for comfort - your little one will really love crawling around in these!
Imagine how lovely they would be in Red for Xmas - I’m definitely going to make those up in time for the holiday season - ALWAYS THINK AHEAD!
These Baby Pants will also look fantastic in white, or pink for summer - or all one color - make them in cotton, or in wool - the choice is endless!

To make these little trousers you will need to be able to do basic knitting stitches, and some very simple cables. The pattern is 9 pages long with color photos throughout so you are guided through the entire process from start to finish.

Materials Required:-
approx 240 yds (220mts) light DK or sportweight yarn - something really soft and beautiful to knit with - I used Rico Essentials Merino DK - also lovely is Millamia Soft Merino Wool DK (I used this for the gorgeous yellow trim in the photos - (col. 142 Daisy).
You will also need 1 pair of US size 3 knitting needles (3.25mm), a small cable needle, and a pair of double pointed needles will be handy, but not essential.

I’m currently working on a little jacket to match and will let all who purchase this pattern know when it’s up and ready - so many patterns and so little time! Watch this space.
