This pattern was a lot of fun, I really think you are going to enjoy making it. I remember one of the first things I ever made was an afghan with this same type of stitch work. It’s an awesome program where we make scarves all year, then paint the local park (with permission if necessary) with the scarves. Pick up the left over scarves the next day and take them to the homeless shelter. I usually reserve some of the warmer ones just for the homeless (I like to make sure they get the warm ones). Susan Huxley started this in PA, and has spread throughout the USA and Canada. It is my hope to keep this going even tho Susan is no longer with us.
