Knit a pair of colourful fingerless mitts. These have a cable pattern across the back of the hand and a thumb insert. The cuffs go right underneath the coat sleeves and keep you cosy as you’re Christmas shopping or needing fingers free for finding your keys!
I’ve knitted these in various yarns, from acrylic DKs to 100%wool and even Rowan’s Felted tweed DK, which knits up to a smaller gauge… they were fine and really comfortable using the same needles.
You’ll be knitting these flat and sewing a side seam, so don’t panic if you’re worried about cabling and knitting in the round.
