Pattern description from Last-Minute Knitted Gifts: “This bag was designed by Mary Lou Risely. She and I arranged to meet at Purl one day to discuss ideas, but the store became so busy I only had time to draw a rough sketch and answer a few questions. We briefly acknowledged that the bag needed to be lined but didn’t figure out how. A few days later Mary Lou suggested a knitted lining, which I think is perfect because it gives the bag a pulled-together look as well as a soft structure that keeps it from drooping.”
