These green-and-blue delights are a touch of spring in the middle of winter. Cables set against reverse stockinette with colour changes every eight rounds make them as fun to knit as they are to wear.

Tip: If changing colours intimidates you, use just two colours. Carry the yarns on the inside without cutting, and you won’t have to worry about weaving in as many ends.

These mittens are ideal for using up scraps of worsted-weight yarn.
