I wanted to knit an ornament cozy with cables to cover a glass ornament, but I also wanted it to have yarnovers so that you could still see the glass ornament. This is a rather simple pattern, using just a little yarn and needing just a little time.
You can use any worsted weight yarn and since it only takes 20-30 yards, it’s a great project for those little balls of yarn you have left from other projects.
To knit this ornament, you will need to know how to cable and provisionally cast on. A great resource for learning these techniques is www.knittinghelp.com
Note: gauge is not listed as the cable and lace pattern is very stretchy and unless you are a rather tight knitter, your gauge with size US 6 needles should be fine
Please know that the total repeats of the pattern should be 3 for the small and 4 for the large.
