Knit this luscious cabled shawl using DK or Worsted weight yarn. Honeycomb cables fill the body of the shawl accompanied by wide ribbed edges. The middle section is worked in stockinette stitch with meandering cables. Use colorful stripes whenever you like to add a touch of playfulness with the traditional cables. A two-color brioche border frames the fabric with a graphic bang!

The sample fabric includes some variety in the yarn weight. Use the needle size you like with the thickest yarn and any thinner yarn weights will be less dense. You can also hold fingering weight yarn double to achieve gauge.

Needles: 47″ US 7 / 4.5mm circular (gold version) for a crisp dense fabric
Use a needle size to achieve the fabric density and drape that you like.

Notions: 4 stitch markers, tapestry needle

Gauge: 26 sts & 32 rows = 4″ / 10cm in honeycomb cables
