Pattern revisions, Jan. 2010 - if you like yours the way it is, that’s fine, too - these pattern revisions are minor:
1) Increased number of cast-on stitches to 37 and added a slip-stitched border. This makes the cloth a safer bet for being 8x8 and also gives a nicer edge.
2) Edited some abbreviations to comply with standards.
3) Changed top and bottom borders of cloth from garter to seed stitch to match the sides.
This is a quick and easy one, believe it or not!
Beginners will feel proud, more advanced knitters will have something to keep them interested and still get a project done quickly. That’s why i love washcloths - sometimes you need the instant gratification!
This is one of two free patterns from my upcoming booklet, Lather Up! A series of 12 patterns that guide knitters through more advanced techniques in short, pretty projects.

Thank you! And these make great afghan squares, too.
