Notes From the Designer:

A cabochon is a gem that’s polished, yet soft and rounded instead of sharply cut. The Cabochon wrap is awash in a shifting scale of jewel tones and boho-inspired bobbles, which look so much like the uncut gems this shawl is named for.

  • Click here to watch a tutorial on how to make a mini version, including all the stitches and stitch patterns.
  • Gauge is not crucial, but it can affect the amount of yardage used.
  • Colors flow and interact with one another across the repeating sections. Play with the colors in your swatch to see how they will affect each other.
  • A charted version of Section B is included on pages 7 and 8. The two charts are read together with the right chart containing all stitches before the center KYOK, and the left chart containing all the stitches after the center. (Charts are numbered continuously to help you pick up where you left off.)
