This pattern teaches you how to make a cactus couple amigurumi.

This pattern is very straightforward and is suitable for beginners with basic crochet knowledge. It makes a great starting project for anyone picking up amigurumi. It comes with 13 pages of detailed instructions and 27 photos to help you follow along. The stitches that you will need to know for this pattern are:

• Crocheting in the round,
• forming a magic ring,
• sc : Single Crochet
• sc inc : Single Crochet Increase
• sc dec : Single Crochet Decrease
• ss : slip stitch
• ch : chain stitch

Using fingering yarn with 2.5mm hook will produce a female cactus of about 7.5cm/3in tall and a male cactus of about 9.5cm/3.75in tall (including hat).It will be bigger if you use a thicker yarn and smaller if you use a thinner yarn.

The materials you will need for this project will be (based on fingering yarn):
Green yarn
Tan yarn
Dark brown yarn
Pink yarn (or any color you want for the flower)
Black yarn
Black embroidery thread
Stuffing
Crochet Hook 2.5mm
Felting needle + pink felting wool OR pink felt and glue
Yarn needle

Additional material if doing open eyes version:
Safety Eyes 7mm x2 for each cactus (use a bigger size if you are using a thicker yarn)
