If you don’t have green fingers this makes a perfect houseplant, plus there are no harmful spikes! Use the cactus as a pincushion, or simply knit them for fun decorations.

Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, this cactus is knitted in acrylic DK yarns in the round using either double pointed needles or a circular needle for magic loop.

NEEDLES
A set of 3.5mm DPNs or circular needle (US 4).

RECOMMENDED YARN
Sirdar Hayfield Bonus DK; double knitting/light worsted weight; 100% acrylic; less than 25g in each colour.

NOTIONS
Tapestry needle, toy filling, and a stitch marker.

SIZES
One size only - 14cm tall.

TECHNIQUES
For confident beginners and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, knits, purls, increases and decreases, and a little bit of seaming to finish.
