C A D E N C E is a special collaboration between Softsweater Knits and La Bien Aimée using Aimée’s newest base Helix.

The lovely Aimée will have this base available on her online shop starting January 17th at 8pm! But it’s also available this weekend at Vogue Knitting Live in New York City if you’re near there, pop by and see the sample in person at the Brooklyn General Store Booth! (booth 521/523)!

This shawl has a lovely movement to it. The stitches all shift along in a very pleasing to way to knit. I am endlessly inspired by oceans, and of course the shapes of the sand cascading along the shore. There’s a visual music to it all.

Thank you to Kim Correa (@KiimKnits on Instagram) for modelling and to Nicola Hodges (@TinyIslandTextiles on Instagram) for Tech Editing! And the beautiful shawl necklace Kim is wearing in the photos is a design collaboration with my friend Kristan MacIntyre! You may recognize the pattern! It’s The Lonely Tree Shawl!

The pattern is both fully charted and fully written. You can choose which you’d like to use.
