Soft and stylish, Cadence is worked seamlessly in the round from the top down in DK/8 ply yarn. Cadence mixes neat twisted rib, smooth stocking stitch and regular increases to gently widen the cowl towards the bottom edge.

Yarn Requirements
Approximately 273 yds/250 m of DK/8 ply yarn.

The sample was knitted in Adagio Alpaca 8 ply (100% Alpaca; 104 yds/95 m per 50 g) in Clouds, 3 balls.

Needles & Notions
7 US/4.5 mm circular needles, 16-20”/40-50 cm long (or longer, if you use the magic loop method) or needle size to obtain gauge.
8 stitch markers.
Tapestry/yarn needle to weave in yarn ends.

Gauge
20 sts and 27 rounds per 4”/10 cm in stocking stitch, knitted in the round, after blocking.
Gauge is not crucial but a different gauge will alter the finished size, drape and amount of yarn required.

Finished Measurements
All measurements are after blocking.
Circumference: 22”/56 cm at the top;
30”/76 cm at the bottom.
Height: 12.5”/32 cm.

Pattern Notes
The cowl is worked seamlessly, in the round, from the top to the bottom; increase rounds are used to gently widen the circumference of the cowl.
You may find it useful to use a different colour/shape of stitch marker to indicate the bor marker.
