This is Pattern No. 4 in the Suite for Short Rows.

Like a running passage in music, the Cadenza Cowl and Shrug is a decorative addition to any outfit.

It is essentially a long, circular piece, ruffled along one side with short row shaping. You can knit it to any length you like.

When done, simply graft the ends together to form a long cowl. Then you can wear it myriad ways: as a long, loose cowl, as a cosy neck warmer, as a shrug, or as a capelet when pulled closer and pinned at one shoulder.
