Saw the idea of using a rubber band, like those used for ponytails, as an anchor for the beginning and end of a headband. Then, as the baby grows, they will still be able to wear the headband.

I used the smallest rubber bands I could find. Then connected them to give them a little more stretch. I also doubled them for “security.” They will stretch to about 2” which will allow for a year of growth.

For an older child, a regular ponytail rubber band would work well. Just remember that it is larger than my small ones so you will want to take it’s size into consideration whem making your headband.

The pattern does not include the flower. You may chose the embellishment of your choice, or leave it plain.
