Calidi is worked in a simple slip-stitch eyelet pattern that is easy to memorize, fun to knit, and adds interesting texture to the project. The shawl is worked in one piece from few cast on stitches with increases worked along one edge shaping it into a modern, asymmetric triangle.

The simple lace edgings are worked at the same time as the body, so there is no complicated finishing required. To add a bit of sparkle and extra drape, the third edge is beaded throughout, but the addition of the beads is optional and the project can be worked without them. Thanks to the simple construction, the size of the shawl can be easily customized to accommodate different yardage (see Pattern Notes).
