Designed for the Yarnover Truck and Dragonfly Fibers’ exclusive colorway for Stitches SoCal 2018, California Waves is reminiscent of a wave pattern as it dissipates. A chevron stitch pattern, alternating in garter and stockinette, increases in width as the shawl grows. A stripey border and i-cord bind-off finish off this piece, giving it a polished look.

Yarn: Approx 800 yards of fingering weight yarn. Sample shown in Dragonfly Fibers, Djinni Sock, C1: Kaleidoscope, C2: Blue Velvet, 80% Merino, 10% Nylon, 10% Cashmere.

Dimensions: (AFTER BLOCKING) 63 inch wingspan, 23 inch depth.

Needles: US size 5.

Notions: Tapestry needle.

Gauge: 24 stitches by 32 rows is 4 inches in chevron stockinette stitch on US size 5 needles. (Gauge is not important for this project).
