Calm Waters is a two coloured cowl with a lovely lace pattern. It is knit in the round, very relaxing to make and knits up quickly!

Spending my holiday in Sweden enjoying the peaceful silence and sitting at the beautiful lakes inspired me to knit this little cowl - the pretty lace pattern just seemed to reflect the calming quality of the soft waves of the water just perfectly.

You’ll need 2 yarns in two contrasting colours, solid/semisolid, fingering to aran weight.

Yardage requirements:
-single cowl / long single cowl: allow approx. 180m/200yds of main colour and 40m/50yds of contrast colour
-double-loop: approx. 360m/400yds of MC and 80m/100yds of CC

Yarn used for sample (long single cowl):
-MC: 1 skein of Malabrigo Finito in colourway Paloma (fingering weight, 50g = 200yds/183m)
-CC: 0.1 skeins Malabrigo Sock in colourway Eggplant (light fingering weight, 100g = 440yds/402m)
on 4mm/US 6 needles

Three sizes:
-single cowl: approx. 60cm/23.6“ circumference and 25cm/9.8“ tall
-long single cowl: approx. 80cm/31.5“ circumference and 20cm/7.9“ tall
-double-loop: approx. 140cm/60“ circumference and 23cm/9“ tall

The pattern contains written as well as charted instructions.

I hope you’ll enjoy the pattern :)
