Named after Calumet, a town in Michigan that can get over 18 feet of snow per year, these mittens are worked in worsted weight yarn to create a beautiful dense fabric that is sure to keep your hands warm on even the coldest winter days.

The Calumet Mittens are worked in the round beginning with a twisted-purl ribbed cuff. The hand and thumb sections are fully-charted and worked in stranded colorwork using a main color and a contrast color yarn. The left and right mittens are the same with the exception of thumb placement and thumbs. 3-Needle Bind-Off is used to finish the tops of the mittens and thumbs.
