Calypso has a unique teardrop shape achieved by working from the top down with 6 stitches increased every other row. The body of the shawl is in garter stitch with a double yarn-over lace border, finished with a beaded picot cast off.

1 skein Araucania Botany Lace, 100% Wool, 410m/437yds/100gr
4mm (US6) circular needles (80cm /32in long)
77 x 4mm (size 6/0) miracle beads
0.75mm (US 13) crochet hook for adding beads

Exact tension is not essential but a difference in tension may affect the amount of yarn used.
