This tea cosy can be made to fit a large (8-10 cup) or a medium (4-6 cup) teapot. If in doubt, make the medium size cosy (unless you are sure your teapot is enormous).

The differences in size are achieved through selecting 4mm needles for the large cosy or 3mm needles for the medium cosy the pattern is otherwise the same for both sizes.

I recommend using Filatura Di Crosa Zara for ths pattern because it’s smooth and springy and can easily be knitted on either size needles (4mm for large cosy, 3.5mm for medium cosy) and achieve a good finish. You can however use any DK/8 ply weight yarn you like.
