This knitting pattern for a pair of campervan socks is a great way to use up oddments from your stash whilst making something useful! Think of the fun making up those colour themes!

In total the socks took approximately 100g / 295 metres of Double Knitted weight yarn made up in lots of different colours. They require 3mm knitting needles and can be made either in the round on circular or DPNs or flat using two straight needles, instructions are included for both.

The socks are knitted from the top down and I have included the following techniques (though you may have a favourite way to make socks already!):

Fair Isle for the trees, Intarsia for the campervans, Wrap and Turn (just for the intarsia campervan section if you’re working in the round), the Bickford Seam – a fantastic flat seam which leaves no bulky ridge and Kitchener Stitch for sewing up those toes! I’ve included links in the pattern for tutorials I found helpful whilst making these socks, it’s been so much fun learning new ways to do things!

The finished socks measure 23cm / 9 inches around the ankle/foot and fit a 24cm / 9.5 inch long foot but can easily be made longer or shorter. Mine actually fitted Hubby as well so they stretch quite happily.
