A pattern for a thick wool poncho to take the chill off in style. This poncho is make using the corner to corner method, making a thick fabric with a lovely texture. Could also be made using alternative yarns for a lighter version.

If you have never used the C2C method before you will soon get the hang of it. The pattern includes a picture guide to help you. To make this pattern you need to know how to chain, make half trebles, slip stitches and change colour.

I have made these ponchos for various family members (see my sister and bro in law in the pictures), and we love wearing them on our summer holidays while sitting round the fire at night. My husband wears his all the time in the winter from getting up to scrape the car, to sitting on the sofa at night. He hasn’t dared to wear it to work yet, but he would love an excuse to!
