Inspired by the rippled texture of the sand on one of Scotland’s loveliest beaches, this cosy neckwarmer is designed to withstand the winter winds. The tuck stitch pleats give extra texture, warmth and structure. This is a quick knit in around one skein of heavy aran or chunky weight wool – ideal for a last minute present!

Materials: 1 skein Artesano Aran (132m/144yds, alpaca/wool blend); or any other lofty, heavy aran or chunky yarn. Pattern uses very nearly the full skein.

6.5mm 40cm circular needle (or longer if using magic loop method). 6mm needle works too, for a slightly closer-fitting neckwarmer.
