Curious on how this pattern looks while working it? Crochet Crowd’s Mikey has a YouTube video that shows off the pattern’s flexible color choices. And if you would like to find the yarn, it is Schachenmayr original Boston

This striped crocheted beanie offers a twist in its construction. It begins from the top down in the round, then the stripes are made in a flat fabric so that no bias is created.

From the North American Schachenmayr website:
Canadian designer Sandi Prosser created a bold unisex outdoors hat in double crochet using Schachenmayr original Boston. The design starts at the top, working in rounds until the stripe motif, then worked side to side and seamed at the end. A striking design for any and all who love the outdoors.

Finished dimensions:
Completed hat measures approximately 20 inches (53 cm) circumference with length at 9 inches (23 cm).
