The Candle Cosy pattern is worked in the round on dpns and has written directions and a chart for the lace portion. This is a great pattern for learning to knit with yarn overs and double decreases. Clear instructions for working yarn overs in 6 different situations will help the knitter in other lace knitting projects, too.

This Candle Cosy looks lovely when the candlelight glows through the lace. The use of acrylic yarn is discouraged unless using a battery operated light. ‘Planting’ the candle in sand in the bottom of the jar can prevent overheating of the glass.

This cosy also makes a cute ‘wrapping’ for gifts of jam.

Set the mood, practice your knitting skills, or just whip off a quick and easy gift!
