Literally ‘edgy’ and yet very delicate and discreet, this is one of our favorite genres: soft and interesting to make, but more importantly, independent of any particular historical era. You start by making the lace edging at the bottom back and forth, sew its ends together (a very brief bit), then pick up stitches around its edge and continue in the round. The cast off is a different kind of lace edging, and adds great interest around the face. All the beginning and body lace is charted. A beautiful effect in only one hank of Sockittome.
