note! This was one of my early designs and is not an error-free pattern. It is offered as-is. Knitter beware!

A multi-seasonal garment designed to fit and flatter a wide variety of shapes and sizes. The lace pattern on the sleeves and lower body is relatively simple to execute and is balanced by stocking stitch on the bodice. Moss stitch borders and vents provide texture and self-finishing hems (no picking up stitches!). This cardigan is knit in five pieces from the hem up, has a set-in sleeve style with design options including waist shaping, bust darts and two styles of sleeve.

Full instructions for bust dart placement are included.

Designed specifically for and was only available on the Ample Knitters Yahoo Group website, but now available as a free Ravelry download.

Errata: Chart symbols for sl1, k1, psso and k2tog are reversed in key. Pattern is correct.

Updated schematic with correct sleeve measurements

Error in row 13 of written lace pattern (chart is correct)

Update June 2011: I’ve been made aware of several errors in the pattern. I apologise for these if they have caused undue stress! I am intending to update the pattern with clearer directions and corrections included but I don’t know when I will have the time.
