I wrote this pattern to cover an ugly ceramic contoured candlestick that is 8 inches in height. It is knitted flat with US8 needles and just 35 grams of bulky weight yarn. It starts with a provisional cast on and continues with short rows to accommodate the curves in the candlestick. To finish, the provisional cast on stitches are put back on needle and work is wrapped around candlestick before grafting together using kitchener stitch.

Optional modifications can be made before grafting edges together.
Use tapestry needle to put French knots in random pattern on outside of cover or use crochet hook to crochet stripes in a contrasting color on outside of cover.
