The Orange Peel quilt block has many names including Sugar Bowl, Lafayette Orange Peel, Tea Leaf, and Bay Leaf, and comes in many variations. The slices around the center diamond shape remind me of orange candy peel slices. Who knew that confectionary, quilting, and knitting all go together? These sweet-as-candy finger- less mitts will whip up in no time thanks to the easy construction and repetitive patterns.
