A very simple scarf/shawlette pattern dependent only on your imagination. Sample reflects, and pattern written for 5 stripes. Stripes alternate between 8 and 6 rows of stockinette separated by eyelet sections and ending with an eyelet border. You can easily add or subtract the number of stripes, and increase or decrease the width of your stripes. And, Candy Stripes is FREE for your knitting pleasure!

Project calls for fingering weight yarn on a US 4 (3.5 mm) and bind off with a US 6 (4.0 mm) or US 7 (4.5 mm). This pattern is not dependent on gauge. Pick your colors, pick your needles, and cast on!

Or, you can choose your own stretchy bind off and work it with your US 4.
