Another little dog!

I recently designed an illusion of a playful puppy and decided to follow it with this illusion of the head of a different dog.

The blanket shown measures about 80 cm x 100 cm (32” x 40”) when made in DK yarn. You can use any yarn you want but the overall size may change. I used approximately 600 metres (660 yards) of Copper and 500 metres (550 yards) of Parchment Stylecraft Special DK.

You could make a smaller, square, blanket by omitting the plain areas at the top and bottom.

The pattern includes three different versions of the chart - one on a single page, another split into four sections and the third for use on hand-held devices.

Our illusion knitting does not use conventional knitting charts and you don’t need to understand any knitting symbols. The design might look difficult but it is nothing more than simple stripes with knit and purl stitches. When you look straight at illusion knitting you only see the narrow stripes.
