Caonach is the Irish for Moss, and Moss stitch is the hero of the Caonach Shawl.
This is a one ball, asymmetrical shawl pattern, with wonderful texture and colour. It is quick, easy, reversible, versatile, cosy, perfect!
The variegated colour yarn accentuates the texture and diagonal lines of the pattern. Wendy Roam Fusion comes in beautiful colours, but Caonach Shawl could be made in any 4ply yarn.
The pattern is a simple repeat, which makes this a quick knit, but there is just enough texture to prevent boredom.
Tension: 10cm X 10cm = 20sts X 37rows using 4mm needles over Moss stitch
