More jazzy than a cardigan, this capelet will keep you warm and toasty on chilly days. Wear it indoors instead of a sweater when the furnace is kept too low. Looks great worn outdoors like a mini poncho. It is surprisingly warm because it keeps a layer of warm air around you.
The capelet is knitted in the round on circular needles so it is seamless. You begin at the bottom with the seed stitch edging. The main body of the garment is stocking (stockinette) stitch. This stitch is very easy on circular needles because each row is knitted. The top of the capelet is finished off with another seed stitch decorative edging.
This pattern is written in English with standard terms and abbreviations. Both inches and centimeters are included in all measurements. Several photos are included to guide you through each step.
I would rate this pattern as easy. You need to know: knit stitch, purl stitch, how to join in the round, how to decrease (k2tog).
Super bulky yarn is used, yarn weight #6, approx. 16-17 oz, 285-290 yds. (450-470 g, 260-270 m)
Two sizes are included: XS/S and M/L. To fit size 28-42 in bust size. (71-107 cm)
Yarns used in the photos are: Hometown USA in Los Angeles tan, Wool Ease Thick and Quick in oatmeal and desert
