Caribbean Blue Socks
Caribbean Blue socks are suitable for an enthusiastic beginner. They are knit from the top down in an easy to establish 6-stitch lace repeat. The pattern is written for a medium women’s shoe. It can be adjusted for different sizes by increasing or decreasing 6 stitches at a time. The leg length is 8”, which can also be adjusted to suit individual preference by adjusting the number of pattern repeats. Lace tends to stretch more, so we’ve cast-on less than for a typical medium women’s size. The cuff is a unique mistake rib pattern that flows effortlessly into the leg of the sock. The heel is an adaption of Elizabeth Zimmerman’s Garter Edged heel flap, with a “V” heel at the turn. This works especially well with this particular lace pattern.
