Please note how the end of round works:

After the last dc of a round, you are doing a ending that creates a space when your next ch3 is in the middle of the space (instead of at the end).

Instead of doing ch 3, sl st to 3rd chain of beginning ch3, you do ch 1, hdc in 3rd ch of beg ch-3 to form last ch-3 space.
