This cowl is knitted fat using a provisional cast on and kitchener stitch to fnish.

There are great tutorials on-line for both these methods, but I particularly like these: http://www.knittinghelp.com/video/play/invisible-provisio... on

Alternatively, you can use your favourite cast on then it can be traditionally seamed at the end.

The cabled pattern is very effective, but deceptively easy once you give it a go. You will soon pick up the repeating pattern, great if you are new to cables.

It is also quite quick to knit up so would make a great last minute gift or for using something up from your stash.

The cowl takes around 85g of aran weight yarn.
