With a Shetland-style construction, this shawl is worked in three parts. First the center is knit, then stitches are picked up around the bottom edge and the border is knitted on, then the edging is worked around the edge of the border. This is the real deal. It’s a magnificent achievement in design, varied and rich, for the confident shawl enthusiast. Made in the Sugar Maple colourway as shown, it’s warm weather incarnate; in a deeper, more subtle colourway, it would be the embodiment of mystery. Five of the eight pages are charts; gauge is given blocked.
