The hat is knitted in the round from brim to top. You need to know how to cast on and off, knit and purl, and knit two stitches together.

The hat was designed on size 7 (4.5mm) 16 inch circular needles, You need to use DPNs or magic loop to work the decrease section because the circulars will become too tight to work.

You can wear this as a slouchy hat, or turn up the brim and wear it like a beanie. I didn’t add a pom, because I thought it looked perfect as is, but you can certainly add one.

You will need one Caron Latte Cake to make this hat.
Caron Latte Cakes have 530 yds (485 m) of yarn per cake. The yarn label denotes a #5 weight, but I found that it works up more like a #4 worsted weight yarn. I used about 145 yards leaving enough to make another hat or perhaps a scarf.

The pattern is written to fit an average adult head 22 to 23 inches (55 to 57.5 cm)

The circumference of the hat unstretched in stockinette is 17 inches (27.5cm). Length from brim to top is 11 inches.

You may sell items made from this pattern, but please give me designer credit.
