Carrefours is a quick and easy scarf that is knit in the round on circular needles. Once the scarf is knit, the knitter cuts their knitting at the beginning of each round and unravels the stockinette stitch sections resulting in tasselled edges.

A variation of the Indian Cross Stitch results in a pattern which is identical on the reverse side and makes this a surprisingly fast scarf to knit.

The pattern is both written and charted.

Size after blocking: 20 cm x 152 cm (8” x 60”) not including fringe.

Differences in gauge effects the size of the finished object and yarn usage.
The original scarf was knit using a 100g Verve Gradiance Sock Set in Ascent. The striped effect results from the sideways construction and the color progression that occurs using Unique Sheep Gradiance yarns.
