From the Stitch Description: Although this is not a ribbing, in the sense of possessing horizontal elasticity, it does make vertical flutings that are gently rounded out from the fabric. It is close, firm, non-curling, and looks the same on both sides. The pattern makes simple but beautiful borders, well-mannered sportswear, and easy-to-knit afghans.
