Here in California the weather doesn’t usually get too cold during the Winter. Well at least to me it doesn’t. My hands do tend to get cold at night though. I have very small hands and always struggle to find mittens that haven’t come from the “kids” section of a store. I also had this same problem when searching for handmade mitt patterns. Even the smalls were still too big on me and I would often have to rip out the mitt and go down a needle size or two.

Well I decided to make up my own mitts pattern. Now i can have mitts that fit perfectly. Don’t worry, I didn’t forget to add instructions for bigger sizes so others could wear them as well.

The pattern for these are done on both sides of the mitts so there is no special side to make the thumb on. You just have to make two identical mitts and you are finished.

I used dk weight yarns for these and have had them all tested.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank You to all of my testers Nicole, Codi, Carolyn, Brooke, Pixie and Kylie for all of your hard work ad help, and to Toomuc Valley Yarns for the beautiful yarn used for these mitts.
