Carvoeiro Shawl is a perfect shawl for a 100g skein of fingering weight yarn and complimentary 20g mini-skein.
For those of you who covet sock yarn sets but don’t knit socks - this could be the perfect pattern!

The pattern has a number of suggested finishes to it to allow you to calculate (based on weighing your yarn) and use up as much yarn as possible. I always hate having left-overs from a full skein, I’d much rather be able to adapt the pattern to use as much as possible, so I have written this flexibility into the pattern whilst still in-keeping with the design.

Finished, blocked size: 185cm wide x 44cm deep

Yarn: Any fingering weight yarn will work. Both myself and majority of my testers opted for indie dyers hand dyed sets.
1 x 100g (400m) skein AND 1 x 20g (80m) mini-skeins OR 3 x 10g (40m) mini-skeins

Gauge is somewhat unimportant as long as you like the drape of the fabric you are creating, however, if it is too far off, this may alter the amount of yarn required or the sizing of the finished shawl.

Have a look through the projects to see how your colour and finishing choice can take this versatile pattern from a light summer shawl to a beautifully autumnal version.
